LeBron James’ free agency saga continues, and Shams Charania offers the latest information on where the former Lakers star might be headed.
The NBA world is eagerly waiting to see where LeBron will spend the final years of his basketball career.
But Shams says don’t hold your breath for too long.
“I talked to Rich Paul, [James’] long time agent, this morning. And Paul Rich made it clear to me that the choice is LeBron James right now… No decision, no choice yet. There is no timetable yet,” Charania told ESPN.
Teams in the running include the Warriors, Cavaliers, Timberwolves, 76ers and Miami, Shams noted, while confirming that Cleveland, Miami and Philadelphia are “focused” on LeBron and his team at the moment.
Many are frustrated with the way LeBron pulls things off.
Adam Silver even publicly urged James to hurry things up so the league could complete the plan.

USA TODAY’s Josh Peter thinks MJ never will.
“James enjoys being in the conversation as the scapegoat of the NBA and rightfully so. But can you imagine Michael Jordan making a decision like this? Or any NBA all-time champion?” said Peter.
This has dragged on longer than Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey.” But this saga is missing the hero, Odysseus.
“On the court, James is a hero, winner of four NBA titles, four MVPs, the league’s leading scorer. But there is no heroism in this process.”
Ultimately, LeBron holds all the cards right now and he knows it.
It is a beautiful place where he is sitting, and he seems to be clapping.
The decision may take a long time.
