The Tate brothers have been remanded in state custody as they face new rape and sex trafficking charges, which could be extradited to the UK

Influential brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate are scheduled to appear before a federal magistrate in Miami on Monday after you are arrested dealing with rape and sex trafficking in the United Kingdom.

The Tates were taken into custody following their arrest on Saturday. In the coming weeks, a US district judge will consider whether they meet the criteria for extradition.

The Tate brothers will fight the US extradition

The brothers’ attorney, Joseph McBride, denounced the latest lawsuits as “filth and slander.” McBride told the media that it is unlikely that the brothers will be released on Monday following the trial.

“That has nothing to do with the merits of the case,” McBride said. “That’s just what happens in these situations.”

McBride said he hopes the extradition request will ultimately be denied. He said on Monday the brothers would “use all remedies” to fight the US extradition

Prosecutors in Britain said the new charges against the four victims were brought after authorities received evidence from police in Bedfordshire in southeast England. The allegations, from 2010 to 2017, include rape, assault, trafficking and charges related to “child pornography and extreme pornography.”

The brothers are there has been charged for rape, physical harm, human trafficking and prostitution for profit in relation to other alleged victims in the UK between 2012 and 2015.

Their lawyer said in a statement on Saturday that he believed their arrests were “lightened by a low-level employee” at the Department of Justice without comment from the leadership.

But the Department of Justice told the Associated Press that the arrests were authorized by the leadership of its criminal division.

The Tate brothers are at the center of a long-running saga

The new allegations are the latest in a long-running international legal case involving the Tates involving the United States, Britain and Romania. The brothers have repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

Their social media empire that promotes wealth, male dominance and misogyny has made them among the most divisive internet personalities in the world.

McBride described the new allegations as a “shocking exercise in politics.” Asked if Secretary of State Marco Rubio would eventually sign the order to expel the brothers, McBride said, “I believe that Marco Rubio and the rest of the Trump administration are not supporters of communism, they are not supporters of prosecuting people for free speech.”

Two US and British citizens immigrated to Romania in 2016. They were arrested there in 2022, accused of participating in schemes to attract women for sexual exploitation. They denied those allegations and the Romanian case did not proceed due to legal and procedural issues.

Last year, they were allowed to leave Romania and fly to Florida.
