AT&T Business has a new set of wireless plans in the US for companies with employees who use a few work devices. Called Unlimited Your Way for Business, it includes four plans at launch: Business Unlimited Ultimate 3.0, Premium 3.0, Advanced 3.0, and Standard 3.0.

Ultimate 3.0 is the most expensive program, but it also includes many features. The other three plans offer fewer features at lower prices. Ultimate 3.0, for example, comes with “unlimited” hotspot data, premium network access, international and travel benefits, security features, and monthly service for one tablet and one wearable per phone line.
Companies can choose different plans for their employees. All plans are available now to new and existing AT&T Business customers.
Who are the new AT&T Business plans?
The main goal of Unlimited Your Way for Business is to allow companies to manage their employees’ devices in one group of systems instead of separate wireless systems.
“Businesses can use Unlimited Your Way for Business to create a plan team that fits the way their team works,” Viraj Parekh, vice president of integrated communications at AT&T Business, told ZDNET. “One group of 50 lines can include a combination of phone plans — Ultimate, Premium, Advanced and Standard 3.0 — depending on what each employee needs.”

Parekh said the program team could also include non-telephone connectivity for devices such as tablets, laptops, wearables, cameras, and mobile hotspots. Each group can include up to 50 total phone and non-phone lines.
For all plans, the Ultimate 3.0 seems to be aimed at companies with employees who regularly work outside the office, such as salespeople, construction workers, delivery drivers, field technicians, and frequent travelers. Those workers often use multiple devices and mobile hotspots, switching between a phone, tablet, laptop, or smartwatch during their workday.
What does the Ultimate 3.0 program include?
The biggest advantage of Business Unlimited Ultimate 3.0 is its unlimited hotspot data. It allows an employee to use their phone as a Wi-Fi connection to a laptop or tablet while working at the workplace, hotel, car, airport, or anywhere else without reliable Wi-Fi.

“Instead of requiring customers to think about which workload or devices to prioritize, we’ve included unlimited hotspot data so they can use their connections however their business needs, without monitoring usage,” said Parekh.
However, hotspot data is not necessarily limited. After a line uses 500GB of hotspot data during a billing cycle, AT&T Business drops its maximum hotspot speed to 3Mbps for the rest of that cycle.
Other features of Ultimate 3.0 include:
- Video streaming up to 4K resolution
- ActiveArmor security with spam alerts and fraud call blocking
- Roaming in 20 Latin American countries at no additional cost
- Up to 10 International Day Passes during each billing cycle
- International coverage in over 210 locations
- 50% discount on International Business Calling
- $5 off a Business Cruise Day Pass per row using mobile service on an eligible cruise ship
Each Ultimate 3.0 phone line also includes monthly wireless service for one tablet and wearable. The devices themselves are not included, and tablet and wearable lines count towards the group limit of 50 lines.
Business Unlimited Ultimate 3.0 comes with AT&T Turbo for Business at no extra cost, too. It covers data used directly on the phone and through its hotspot, but performance will still depend on coverage, network traffic, location, device, and app.
“AT&T Turbo for Business allows businesses to offer applications on mobile devices the highest data processing available commercially on the AT&T wireless home network,” said Parekh. “This helps maintain a consistent mobile experience for critical tasks where network demand is high — such as large data transfers, POS transactions, and high-speed transactions.”
How much does Ultimate 3.0 cost?
The monthly price of Business Unlimited Ultimate 3.0 depends on how many phone lines the business has:
- $110 for one Ultimate 3.0 phone
- $100 per line for two Ultimate 3.0 phone lines
- $85 per line for three Ultimate 3.0 phone lines
- $75 per line for four to 50 Ultimate 3.0 phone lines
This price includes a $25 monthly phone rebate that applies to phones purchased at full price, purchased on an installment plan, delivered by a customer, or used on a monthly basis. Phones with a service obligation cost $25 more per line.

The Ultimate 3.0 program also offers an AutoPay discount and a paperless payment discount. Discounts may take up to two billing cycles to appear. AT&T Business said customers who order online now can get an extra $15 per line for 36 months. However, to qualify, the business must purchase the phone on an installment plan. Taxes and fees are added.
Should you switch to Ultimate 3.0?
Business Unlimited Ultimate 3.0 may be worth considering if your employees regularly use tablets, wearables, or laptops, or if they need mobile hotspots outside of the office. Its main advantages are unlimited hotspot data, which includes a monthly service for tablets and wearables, and the ability to manage up to 50 phone and non-phone lines in one group.
It can replace separate wireless systems for work devices, as well as limited hotspot systems or add-ons.

“Ultimate 3.0 is designed to provide reliable, integrated connectivity for businesses with growing multi-device workloads,” said Parekh. “Across the AT&T network, we’re seeing more AI and data-intensive work, and that’s reflected in how businesses use wireless every day. This change is driving the growing demand for reliable wireless performance across multiple devices, applications, and use cases.”
While the lowest price for Ultimate 3.0 is $75 per line, small businesses will pay as much as $110 per line. So companies should compare the total monthly costs, AT&T coverage in the locations where employees work, and how often they will use the included tablet, wearable, and hotspot service before switching plans.
