“This important information has been hidden and hidden from you for many years,” Trump said. “Americans are good, our Americans are great. But everything is changing right now.”
The documents were posted on the White House website as the president spoke.

The speech came as his administration pushed policies, laws and executive orders to secure US elections.
“The documents that we will release starting tonight have been collected by the White House Government Transparency Taskforce, a large group of people, and the staff of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, supported by our senior intelligence agency officials, who have personally reviewed the findings that we are presenting tonight and have fully verified their authenticity,” Trump said on Thursday.
In preparation for the speech, Trump teased that his speech would be “big news.” Trump promoted his new Trump Accounts and talked about how his administration has reduced drug prices, reduced crime and strengthened the border – with a major focus on securing American elections.

The White House released four categories of documents focusing on suspected threats to electronic voting systems and vote counting systems, China’s acquisition and exploitation of American voter data, the Michigan voter registration investigation and non-citizens on the state’s voter rolls.
Trump said China obtained information about American voters such as names, addresses, phone numbers, political affiliations and other personal information to create a unit dedicated to exploiting the voter information it obtained.
Reports from the CIA and the National Security Agency about China’s meddling have been omitted from President Trump’s nearly daily press conference, Trump said. Trump also said that Congress was not notified either.

“One email between intelligence analysts acknowledged that they, quote, deliberately tampered with the president’s daily briefing to withhold information about China’s activities related to the election,” Trump said.
Trump asked the director of national intelligence, the Department of Justice, the FBI and the CIA to start an investigation and, if necessary, to fire and suppress those involved in criminal cases.
