Piers Morgan accused Tim Miller of showing “a clear sign of Trump derangement syndrome” on Tuesday when the former Republican strategist said on the Bulwark Podcast that President Donald Trump has done nothing good.
Morgan challenged Miller to name one good thing Trump had done after Miller argued that he should not tone down his criticism of the president.
“So there, I’m afraid, is a classic example of a clear symptom of Trump derangement syndrome,” Morgan said.
The exchange came after Miller said Trump critics are often accused of having “TDS” even if, in his view, they are telling the truth about the president.

“What do you want me to do? Be a liar, shine, pretend to be something you’re not?” Miller said. “I mean, look, if the honest truth is everybody’s going to work for Trump, and then he’s going to have a fight with him and leave, it sounds like me in the end.”
“I mean, John Kelly, you know, he thought he was a fascist. [James] Mattis, [Anthony] Scaramucci, we can go down the list. They all sound like me because I’m telling the truth about him,” said Miller.
Morgan then interrupted the argument with what he called an experiment.
“Let me do a test. Tell me one good thing that Trump has done,” Morgan said.
Miller has pushed back that he believes Trump’s presidency is part of a larger flawed political project.

Tim Miller has pushed back against Piers Morgan’s challenge, saying Donald Trump’s presidency is part of a “rotten” political project.

“The Abraham Accords is something that people said. That turned into a s— sandwich,” Miller said, referring to the normalization of diplomatic relations between Israel and several Arab states during Trump’s first term. “No, I think everything has turned into a s— sandwich.”
Morgan also pressed Miller on whether he could identify anything Trump had done right.
“What do you think you made good?” Morgan said.
Miller rejected the premise saying: “Nothing. I think it’s a disaster.”
Morgan then listed border security as a Trump success Miller should be willing to acknowledge.
“Obviously closing the southern border… stopping millions of people coming to the southern border illegally without going through any system was wrong. [Joe] Biden at crisis levels,” Morgan said.

BIDEN JUDGE OVERRULED TRUMP’S KEY IMPORTATION POLICY
Miller said he agreed with the criticism of Biden’s border record, but said Trump blocked the amendment and followed Miller’s immigration policy, which he called un-American.
“Biden’s policy got out of hand. Too late – this is his political criticism – Biden went to Congress and tried to come up with a solution. Trump rejected that solution, then he did it by executive order,” Miller said.
Morgan cited Trump’s role in freeing Hamas hostages in Gaza as a success.
“The way he got the remaining hostages out of Gaza to Israel was a huge success,” Morgan said.

Miller said the release of the hostages is good, but said that does not make Trump’s broader Middle East policy successful.
“Yes, it’s good that the hostages are out, but that doesn’t mean his Israel policy is good,” Miller said.
Morgan said Trump deserves credit for that result while still criticizing his decision to go to war with Iran.
