I use ChatGPT Pro every day, and these 3 features keep me subscribed

I’ve used ChatGPT for years, but for the longest time, I didn’t feel the need to pay for it. Instead, I signed up for Claude Pro because it fits my job better. During a regular chat with Cowork, it gave me everything I needed in one place, so paying for another AI subscription didn’t make sense.
That changed when OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Work. I was curious enough to give ChatGPT Pro a proper shot, expecting to test one new feature and move on. Instead, I ended up using it more than I expected. The more I depended on it in my daily work, the more I realized that it offered a few things I didn’t want to give up. Those are the three features that have kept me happily subscribed ever since.
Who knew one message could create this?
The first feature I tried was ChatGPT Sites, and I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It is a feature that allows you to create and share a live website or lightweight application using Codex. All you have to do is define what you want, and ChatGPT builds it for you. I wanted a calmer, more purposeful way to organize my day. I’ve always liked the idea of Windows’ Focus Sessions, but I wanted something that felt more personal and dynamic. So I typed “productivity” into the ChatGPT sites and explained the type of experience I wanted. That was enough to get started.
A few minutes later – five minutes and 32 seconds, to be exact – I had a fully functional website called Momentum. Along the way, ChatGPT allowed me to adjust the design, adjust a few details, and decide what I wanted to keep or change, but I didn’t have to touch a single line of code. The result was much better than I expected. Every morning, Momentum greets me by name, creates a to-do list based on how much energy I have that day, and gives me a quick overview of the week ahead. It’s clean, small, and refreshingly uncluttered, which makes me want to come back to it instead of avoiding it like most productivity apps.
What surprised me the most was not just how beautiful the website turned out to be – it was how effortless the whole process felt. There was a time when building something like this meant learning to code or using complex website builders. Now, I can turn an idea into a functional website by explaining it in plain English. Since creating Momentum, I’ve found myself constantly thinking of new ideas to build, and I keep coming back to ChatGPT Sites to bring them to life.
A feature that gave my mind pause
What I like even more is that the ChatGPT Function can pick up little things that would otherwise sit in the back of my mind. A good example is a pair of heels I’ve been wanting to buy for months. I was almost certain that the price would drop during the upcoming sale, but I also didn’t want to keep checking the product page every day to see if anything had changed. So I gave the job to ChatGPT Work. I simply asked it to look at the listing and let me know if there was a meaningful update, such as a price drop or other significant change. That was it.

It sounds like a small thing, but it made a bigger difference than I expected. Instead of opening the same page again and wondering what I missed, I can forget about it completely and focus on my work. That’s what I enjoy most about the ChatGPT service. It takes care of things that don’t need my constant attention, freeing up more mental space for everything else.
Too many files? It’s not my problem anymore
If there’s one thing that freaks me out almost immediately, it’s opening a folder full of spreadsheets, documents, and screenshots all demanding my attention. And if Google Sheets is involved? I tend to put it on as long as possible. This is exactly where the ChatGPT Function has come in handy. I upload everything I have – spreadsheets, documents, images, or screenshots – give it a little context about what I’m trying to find, and let it do the hard work. If the spreadsheet is full of numbers, I ask you to explain what is important instead of making me focus on hundreds of cells myself.

It’s not fast. Depending on how much I have uploaded, it may take a few minutes to configure everything. But when it’s done, the information is well organized, easy to follow, and presented in a really logical way. Instead of feeling buried under data, I can directly find the information I need. That said, I still make a habit of double-checking anything important before acting on it. AI is not perfect, and I don’t think it should replace your judgment. But as a way to make thick files and intimidating spreadsheets feel less overwhelming, ChatGPT Work has been remarkably reliable in my daily workflow.
Safe to say, I’m always subscribed
I’ve been using ChatGPT Pro for a while now, and I still feel like I’m just scratching the surface. Every few days, I come across another feature that makes me think, “I should have tried this sooner.” There is still so much left to explore, which is probably the best part – it always surprises me. I know a subscription like this isn’t for everyone, and I’ll admit I was skeptical before paying for it, too. In fact, I spent a long time telling myself that I didn’t need it. But when I started using it as part of my daily workflow, my perspective changed completely.
For me, it was all money. More importantly, it saved me time, removed an incredible amount of mental confusion, and made many of my daily tasks feel easier. And while ChatGPT Pro has a lot going for it, these three features are what keep me coming back day after day.
