Hiraya Water is launching a P600-million rehabilitation plan for the Dasmariñas network
Hiraya Water Corp., formerly known as Primewater Infrastructure Corp., has unveiled a P600-million investment plan to repair and expand the water distribution system in Dasmariñas City, marking the first major infrastructure rollout under its new ownership by Crystal Bridges Holdings Corp.
The company also recently received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission to change its company name from Primewater Infrastructure Corp. to Hiraya Water Corp. The company’s restructuring reflects the company’s renewed commitment to improving water services and delivering important infrastructure projects not only in Dasmariñas but in all its joint ventures.
Hiraya Water said the new name embodies its vision of bringing renewed hope and fulfilling aspirations through reliable and sustainable water services.
The investment plan in Dasmariñas follows the issuance of the company’s business permit by the Dasmariñas City Government and the formal change of operations earlier this year.
On July 29, Hiraya Water and the Dasmariñas Water District held a grand ceremony for the first phase of the long-term infrastructure plan. Projects will focus on developing new water sources, replacing old pipelines, upgrading transmission and distribution facilities, and improving overall system efficiency.
Hiraya Water President Jose Paulino Santamarina said the projects represent the company’s commitment to restore customer confidence through the development of physical infrastructure.
“Today is more than the start of an infrastructure project. It marks the beginning of restoring public trust, not just with words, but with completed projects and services that every resident can get,” he said.
The P600 million project includes the development of water sources, improvement of water transmission and distribution, non-revenue water reduction programs, replacement of large meters, and operational improvements designed to improve the reliability of services throughout the city.
One of its flagship programs is the Water and Revenue Reduction and Total Pipeline Rehabilitation Program, which will replace 24 kilometers of pipes worn out during the development of the city’s distribution network. The first phase includes nine kilometers of pipe replacement in Barangays Sampaloc IV and Victoria Reyes, benefiting about 16,000 households.
Once completed, water availability in these areas is expected to increase to 12 to 24 hours per day, and water pressure is also expected to improve significantly.
Hiraya Water is also investing in the development of a new water source that will serve 17 barangays, including Burol Main, Salawag, San Andres, Paliparan I and II, Sampaloc III and IV, and San Francisco II. These projects aim to increase daily water availability and improve water pressure.
Another major project involves the construction of a 700-cubic-meter water storage tank in Barangay Paliparan II, and the installation of a booster system serving Paliparan II and III. The plant is expected to benefit from approximately 8,700 service connections by increasing both water supply and pressure.
The projects are part of Hiraya Water’s comprehensive strategy to modernize Dasmariñas’ water system, reduce water loss, increase supply capacity, and strengthen service reliability as demand continues to grow. The company said other infrastructure projects are expected to be launched in the coming months.
Mr. Santamarina said the company is still focused on delivering long-term development that goes beyond infrastructure investment.
