Bounty eyes widened by ASEAN as it marks 40th anniversary

Bounty Fresh Group Holdings, Inc. (Bounty), one of the largest chicken producers in the Philippines, is looking to expand into Southeast Asia as it celebrates its 40th anniversary.th anniversary, we build on our domestic leadership and overseas presence in Indonesia and New Zealand.
Bounty Chairman Tennyson G. Chen said the company is exploring opportunities in the fast-growing Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) market, where demand for poultry and value-added food products continues to grow.
“We had the privilege of being a part of the entire gathering and celebration of the Philippines through Chooks-to-Go and Uling Roasters, which now has more than 2,200 stores nationwide,” said Mr. Chen.
He added that the company has also expanded overseas through Bounty Fresh Group Holdings, Inc. Segar of Indonesia and Tegel Foods, Ltd. of New Zealand.
“Now, we are looking at opportunities to expand in the fast-growing ASEAN market, where the demand for poultry and value-added products continues to rise,” he said.
Mr. Chen said the planned regional expansion is based on Bounty’s integrated business vision and long-standing relationships with contract farmers, farmers, marketers, and local communities.
“But this strong growth wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for our strong environment of contract farmers, farmers, marketers, and communities that form the backbone of the company’s success,” he said.
The company said its four decades of growth have been driven by innovation, efficiency, and the contributions of its employees and business partners across the value chain.

As it enters its fifth decade, Bounty said it is accelerating its transformation into a future-proof food and agriculture company by investing in new capital, strengthening its integrated environmental program, expanding its food product portfolio, and pursuing regional growth opportunities.
It was founded by the Chen family in 1986 with a farm of 5,000 chickens in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, Bounty has grown to become the second largest poultry producer in the country. The company started with Bounty Farms, Inc., a producer of table eggs known for its “golden yolk” eggs, before expanding into poultry integration with Bounty Fresh Food, Inc. in 1993.
