AHL names 2025-26 senior award winners | TheAHL.com

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League held its 2026 Awards Gala during the Annual Board of Governors Meeting in Hilton Head Island, SC, on Wednesday evening, presenting several awards for excellence and service:

Cleveland Monsters’ Mike Ostrowski voted by the Board as the winner James C. Hendy Memorial Awardgiven to the outstanding business executive in the American Hockey League.

As president of franchise groups for Rock Entertainment Group, Ostrowski leads all aspects of the Monsters business. Under his leadership, the organization launched one of the strongest seasons in the American Hockey League, combining record attendance numbers with significant revenue growth and media expansion. Ostrowski’s 15 seasons with the Monsters have been marked by continued excellence and continued commitment to the Cleveland community.

The James C. Hendy Memorial Award is named after the deceased Jim Hendya member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and the AHL Hall of Fame and a mathematician and AHL historian who won four Calder Cups as general manager of the Cleveland Barons.

Rockford IceHogs hockey president and general manager Mark Bernard honored with Bruce Landon Award as an AHL hockey official for 2025-26.

Facing personal life challenges this past season – including a successful liver transplant in March – Bernard continued to lead the Rockford hockey staff without missing a beat. He was key in the planning process for the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic hosted by the IceHogs, and played a key role in the AHL’s joint negotiating committee, attending many meetings and helping to reach a resolution on a new agreement between the league and the PHA.

The Bruce Landon Award was created prior to the 2024-25 season in his honor Bruce Landona member of the American Hockey League Hall of Fame and a mainstay in Springfield, Mass., as a player, official and owner for nearly a century.

President of the Milwaukee Admirals Jon Greenberg he is the recipient of Thomas Ebright Award in recognition of career contributions to AHL.

A lifelong resident of the Milwaukee area, Greenberg has overseen the day-to-day operations of the Admirals business since joining the club in 2005 following more than two decades with the Milwaukee Brewers. Greenberg’s leadership has led to steady business growth across the board each year, helping to strengthen the Admirals’ foothold in the major league market. Greenberg has also been a key member of AHL committees over the years, providing valuable guidance to the league’s business development.

The Thomas Ebright Award is honored Tom Ebrightformer owner and governor of the Baltimore Skipjacks and Portland Pirates who died in 1997.

I The Colorado Eagles (team of the year) and Logan Shaw of the Toronto Marlies (best player) selected by the AHL President and CEO Scott Howson as successful in 2025-26 in David Andrews Awards of Excellence.

The Eagles finished with a record of 41-20-6-5 (93 points) under the head coach. Mark Letestu during the 2025-26 regular season — their fourth straight 40-win campaign — before advancing to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since joining the AHL in 2018. Off the ice, the Eagles have continued to be an example of excellence in all of their operations, consistently placing them among the league’s business leaders in their ticketing and revenue efforts for the public and corporate capital. Colorado extended its sellout streak to 169 consecutive games by filling every seat at Blue Federal Credit Union Arena for the fourth year in a row.

In his fourth season with the Marlies, Shaw captained the team to the 2026 Calder Cup championship while displaying the leadership qualities that have made him one of the league’s most respected players in his 13 seasons as a professional. Shaw, who has been Toronto’s captain since signing with the Marlies in 2022, played in all 96 of the team’s games in 2025-26, leading the team with 54 points in the regular season before adding 17 points during the playoffs. The native of Glace Bay, NS, is a three-time AHL All-Star and was voted the 2022-23 Fred T. Hunt Memorial Award winner as a player who best exemplifies sportsmanship, determination and dedication to hockey.

It was established in 2009 and named in honor of the league’s longtime president Dave Andrews in 2025, these awards are given to an AHL organization and/or player for outstanding performance in the previous year.

He has a veteran referee Jarrod Ragusin named the 2025-26 recipient of the Michael Condon Memorial Award with the remaining contributions made by the ice officer.

A native of Saint Charles, Ill., Ragusin has been a member of AHL officiating staff since 2010, working nearly 450 games – including the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic in Rockford. As one of the division’s most highly-regarded officers on the ice, Ragusin has worked with and mentored many young officers over the years, demonstrating professionalism, professionalism and the right attitude to succeed.

The Michael Condon Memorial Award was established in 2002 following the passing of the veteran AHL linesman. Mike Condon.

The League also recognized several outstanding achievements in various categories at its annual Team Business Services Awards.

As part of its Team Business Services program, the AHL recognized clubs with the highest revenue growth in four areas during this past season: general ticket sales, season ticket sales, team ticket sales and corporate sponsorship sales.

Operating since 1936 and celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, the AHL serves as the top development league for all 32 National Hockey League teams. About 90 percent of today’s NHL players graduated from the American Hockey League, and more than 100 members of the Hockey Hall of Fame spent time in the AHL during their careers.
