This is the best golf speaker I have ever used. Here is the reason

I’ve officially reached that age of life where I’ve run out of sweet things to ask for when it’s gift-giving season.
So now I think about work: garage tools, golf balls, you know the drill. But over the holidays last year, I did some research and found one thing I wanted and threw on my wish list: a new handy golf speaker.
I’ve had a few in the past but most were subpar, meaning the sound quality was poor and the battery life was poor. Browsing again and looking for the highest quality, most reliable option, the reviews told me to go with JBL. A number of product options came highly recommended, so I put one on my list – the JBL Grip 5 Speaker – and unpacked it and put it away until golf season. (In Minnesota, we have to wait.)
I didn’t make it out on my first start this summer. The music on the course is somewhat controversial, and seems to hit the spot better in some circles than others. But when I loaded up the car for a quick friends golf outing a few weeks ago, I made sure to bring a new JBL speaker to test out during carefree, cartwheeling rounds with friends.
JBL Grip 5 Speaker
Easy to hold and easy to hold, the JBL Grip is a speaker that’s always available. The JBL Grip is powerful for its size. The JBL Grip may be compact, but its pro sound is great—punchy bass and crystal-clear highs. Whether it’s setting the vibe for meaningful mornings or lazy beach days, the JBL Grip is our go-to. The built-in ambient light on the back panel adapts to the time, so you can set the mood for cool days and automatic hanging. Use the simple side panel control button to switch between simple themes, so that the situation remains correct whether you are scrolling down or facing up. Did we mention it’s super hard? The JBL Grip is designed to handle anything. With an industry-leading IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating, we go wherever we go. Its anti-drop design means it can survive concrete falls—no party bad here. All that, plus up to 14 hours of playtime with Playtime Boost. When friends run, we use Auracast™ to pair two stereo Grips for instant surround sound. Why are you standing there? We can connect multiple speakers powered by JBL Auracast™ as we got the perfect sound experience. Solo chillin’ or vibing with the group—the JBL Grip is as flexible as we are. And the decision? It’s moving. The sound quality and bass are outstanding. I almost felt bad for another stroller in our group who was playing music on their phone speaker.
JBL gets everything else right. It’s not bulky and easy to carry, the battery life is amazing and it’s a breeze for anyone to sync their phone via Bluetooth to spin up a playlist. You can use it beyond the golf course, too. On a single charge, mine lasted 36 holes and a few hours in the boat after that.
As a 15 handicap, I may not be the guy to give out swing tips. But I can recommend this JBL as the best golf speaker I have ever owned. You can browse more portable speakers here.
