Former Denver Nuggets star Ty Lawson hurls ‘white b—h’ at cop after Tito’s arrest for stealing vodka

Ty Lawson made millions of dollars during an eight-year NBA career. Last week, Tito’s $34 bottle led to his arrest.

Instead of showing remorse, the former Denver Nuggets guard went on the offensive, repeatedly calling a Castle Rock Police Department officer a “white b*tch” during his arrest before later claiming on social media that he was the victim.

A bottle of vodka cost $34. Lawson was booked into the Douglas County Jail on a shoplifting charge.

According to arrest records, Lawson smelled of alcohol when he was arrested on July 16. He allegedly took a bottle of Tito’s drunk and was found by police sitting at a nearby restaurant.

The retired NBA player then took to social media to defend his behavior, instead launching into the usual “America is racist” rant about X.

According to the arrest report, Lawson repeatedly taunted the officer by calling him “bh” and “white bh” during the encounter.

He later wrote about X: “Being black in America is hard…. Being lied to by a dirty white woman… stay outta castle rock Colorado!!!!

“This is the worst and most racist – I’ve ever been.”

For someone who insists he is a victim of racism, Lawson showed little reluctance to reduce the arresting officer to the color of his skin.

From 2009 to 2015, Lawson was an integral part of the Denver Nuggets frontcourt. He also played on Roy Williams’ NCAA championship-winning team at North Carolina in 2009.

Many on the Internet questioned how a former NBA player who earned more than $40 million could react to this incident by playing the victim instead of taking responsibility.

One X user responded, “It’s racist to call someone who made 40 mill and stole a bottle? Such sad victim mentality.”

Lawson also spent time alongside Chauncey Billups in Denver. Billups is currently under federal investigation amid allegations of illegal high-stakes poker games.
