Massachusetts ‘acts out’ accused of sexually abusing women at state park near Boston

Not all mimes stay silent. Another is now accused of abusing women.
A Massachusetts man known for wandering around in a black-and-white mime costume is accused of terrorizing women for months at a popular state park, where prosecutors say he allegedly stripped down to his underwear, doused himself in cooking oil and worked around female workers before collapsing in court as the allegations were read aloud.
Hernan Villagran Lux, 29, of Framingham, is facing harassment charges after three Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) employees had more than 50 encounters with one of the women two months ago at Natick State Park near Boston.
Prosecutors said that all three of these women knew Lux by name and appearance, one reported more than 50 incidents which the authorities say escalated over time, leaving employees afraid to work around him.

The allegations also sparked warnings on social media, where people in several Massachusetts communities said they knew the suspect and said he had approached or followed women on nearby railroad tracks.
Authorities arrested Lux Sunday night on the Cochituate Rail Trail, after several women and park employees said he repeatedly approached them, stared at them and refused to leave despite repeated requests, according to Boston 25 News.
“The women reported a large number of people making contact with the defendant, including him staring at them, smiling in what they described as a ‘really creepy and scary way,'” Framingham County District Court Supervisor Andrew Mange said during Monday’s hearing.

Mange said the meeting was courageous. In one incident, prosecutors said, Lux “stripped down to her underwear, smeared cooking oil all over her body and began to exercise next to their staff.”
The women also reported that Lux repeatedly refused to leave the park after being asked to leave, according to the station.
Prosecutors also said that Lux complimented one employee’s appearance, commented on her lips and refused to leave as she and her co-workers left their workplace because they felt unsafe.
Boston 25 reported that many people posted on social media claiming to have seen a man resembling a different mime of Lux in Framingham, Natick and Wayland.
Several women also reported that a man of the same description followed them on the Cochituate Rail Trail.

“I saw him, he looked weird, but I thought he was just wearing a costume,” neighbor Nancy Dlott told Boston 25. “It’s annoying, especially if you’re walking alone,” she added.
“I don’t understand what goes through someone’s head to do that,” Christopher Labella told the station. “I hope this boy gets the help he needs.”

As prosecutors continued to read the allegations in court Monday, Lux collapsed and was treated at the scene before the trial continued, according to Boston 25.
During the afternoon court session, the judge ordered Lux to undergo a mental health evaluation at Bridgewater State Hospital.
