DeMarcus Cousins Warns Lakers Fans May Turn on Luka Doncic

Lakers fans may be enjoying the Luka Doncic season now, but DeMarcus Cousins has sent a warning about how quickly things can go downhill.

Out with LeBron and in with Luke in Los Angeles. The group is apparently entering Luke’s time. They found a big man in Walker Kessler who Luke was a follower of and imprisoned his partner in crime Austin Reaves.

But Cousins pointed out that if you go through a bad place in LA, the fans and the organization can quickly turn on you.

“One thing I’ve seen, and obviously like Luke is on another level than these guys, but I was in LA, and I was there with Kyle Kuzma. I was there with KCP. And one thing I’ve seen is if you have a bad stretch, they turn on you quickly,” said Cousins.

Cousin continued, “I’m not comparing Luka to these guys. I don’t think he’s ever going to have a bad stretch, statistically or anything like that. I think he’s a natural-born goal scorer. But as far as bringing the big prize, which is the championship to LA, that’s their level. It’s worth it.

“I feel like if he does miss, I think we’re going to see another side of those fans. And I’ve seen it before. This was the year they won the championship, and I watched some in Kyle Kuzma. I watched some in KCP. So, I don’t know. It’ll be fun to see.”

Lakers expert Jovan Buha says that people inside the organization agree that they may have regressed last season after losing the likes of LeBron, Rui Hachimura and DeMarcus Cousins, but they will still try to be more competitive.
