Tyler Herro Breaks Silence After Bam Adebayo Incident

Tyler Herro says he is ready to put last week’s altercation with Miami Heat teammate Bam Adebayo behind him and fully focus on his future with the Milwaukee Bucks.
“Honestly, I’m trying to get through everything,” Herro told ESPN. “I’m focused on Milwaukee and building something special. Obviously they just traded the greatest player in their history, so we want to come in and help them continue what they’ve been doing.”
He also admitted that if he was going to go to Miami, coming home was always a good result.
“I’m ready to come home and not show that everyone is wrong,” he said, “but I can represent the city and the government because I wanted to do that when I left school.”
The comments come days after ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Herro and Adebayo were involved in a physical altercation at Resorts World in Las Vegas.
Adebayo spoke to Herro after taking over a social media account allegedly linked to the Bucks guard, according to ESPN. The account questioned whether Adebayo was worth his $60 million salary and suggested Herro needed more support during his injury in Miami.
Sources told ESPN that the confrontation escalated after words were exchanged, with Adebayo hitting Herro near the chin. Herro was allegedly restrained by others in the gym before he could physically respond.
Despite this incident, Herro insists that there is no ongoing animosity towards his former organization.
“It’s all love in Miami,” Herro said, when asked if it was difficult to see his former team. “I saw a few guys, the coaching staff, Chris Quinn, Spo [Erik Spoelstra]front office guys; we’re all good in Miami. It’s just an opportunity for both sides to regroup, get a fresh start, and they’re both very happy about this.”
